The SWR X Lab is an innovation space of Südwestrundfunk, where new digital formats are developed and prototyped in collaboration with SWR and ARD editorial teams. Through agile methods and user-centered design approaches, the lab creates ideas that help shape the future of journalism.Das SWR X Lab ist ein Innovationsraum des Südwestrundfunks, in dem gemeinsam mit Redaktionen des SWR und der ARD neue digitale Formate entwickelt und prototypisch umgesetzt werden. Mithilfe agiler Methoden und nutzerzentriertem Design entstehen dort Ideen, die den Journalismus von morgen mitgestalten.

In early 2022, the SWR X Lab developed the concept for a new talk show format designed to encourage social dialogue and involve citizens more actively in public discourse. The goal was to create a format that highlights diverse perspectives and fosters an open culture of conversation.Anfang 2022 entstand im SWR X Lab die Idee für ein neues Talkshow-Format, das den gesellschaftlichen Austausch fördern und Bürger stärker in den Dialog einbinden sollte. Ziel war es, ein Format zu entwickeln, das unterschiedliche Perspektiven sichtbar macht und eine offene Gesprächskultur unterstützt.

Together with the Product Owner, I developed the format concept and created its visual identity. My focus was particularly on motion design: from defining the visual language to designing and implementing animated elements, I developed a design system that supports the format’s identity while presenting its content in a modern and accessible way.Gemeinsam mit der Product Ownerin habe ich das Konzept des Formats ausgearbeitet und die visuelle Gestaltung entwickelt. Dabei lag mein Fokus insbesondere auf dem Motion Design: Von der Entwicklung der visuellen Sprache bis zur Umsetzung animierter Elemente entstand ein Designsystem, das die Identität des Formats unterstützt und seine Inhalte modern und zugänglich vermittelt.
